Hanoi & Ha Long, Vietnam - Service and Community Insight with Halong Bay
The Vietnam Service Trip takes school groups into mountain villages in northern Vietnam to work with local ethnic hill tribes in the area. The project will be carefully chosen according to what best serves the community at the time - perhaps providing assistance with needs at the schools such as refurbishing or rebuilding classrooms, physical work in the village, setting up libraries or sustainable feeding projects, or similar projects that are required at the time.
Day 1 Arrival Hanoi, Alternative City Tour, Old Quarter, Ho Chi Minh Complex, Introduction to Vietnamese Language, Water Puppet Theatre Show Day 2 Trek to Mountain Regions of Northern Vietnam, Hike Through the Forest, Tour of Remote Village, Swimming in Natural Pools and Waterfalls Day 3&4 Service Project: Working with a Local School (Refurbishing or Rebuilding Classrooms, Installing Water Supplies, Gardening, Play Sports and Games) Day 5 Hike out of the Village, Return to Hanoi, Flag Lowering Ceremony at Ho Chi Minh Complex Day 6 Halong City, Cruise out to Halong Bay, Kayaking, Squid Fishing Day 7 Waking Up in Halong Bay, Tai Chi, Floating Villages, Departure Hanoi Cost: Approx.
