Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand - Outdoor Activities and Local School Involvement Projects
The centre is located in the far north of Thailand in the Maekok River valley, surrounded by forested hills and with wonderful panoramic views. The area is populated by ethnic minority groups – mainly hill tribes, as well as Burmese Shan and thus it is also a culturally fascinating area.
The week provides a mix of activities from hiking, camping, wall climbing, ropes courses and archery; service work involving an improvement project in local ‘disadvantaged’ school and English language activities with local students; and you can even have a go at learning to cook a few famous Thai dishes such as green curry and fried noodles.
